Red Coats and Muskets in Umina Beach

The Historic NSW Corp of Marines marched into the Peninsula Retirement Village and took over in their usual fiesty and friendly manner.

The event was organised by the Umina Beach Men's Shed in conjunction with the Toolbox Talks program.John Walker, from Men's Sheds Central Coast has developed a relationship with many community presenters to attend groups and sheds to provide information and entertainment.

When approached by the Umina Beach Men's Shed and the Peninsula Retirment Village, John did not hesitate to expedite arrangements for a day of colourful red coats, noisy muskets and historical humour.

Nine red coats from, what is affectionately called, the Rum Corp turned up for a Sunday morning and marched on display for the 80 strong crowd from the the Men's Shed and the Peninsula Retirement Village.

This was a very successful event and congratulations to all involved.
