Treasurers workshop

Treasurers from Men's Sheds across the Central Coast and beyond gathered together at the Woodbury Park Community Centre for Treasurer Training.

Every range of skill from accountant to newly appointed beginners attended to learn new skills, assist each other and network with the dedicated treasurers from other sheds.

The sharing of knowledge, experience and challenges was open and candid,  covering a broad range of topics from incorporation to petty cash.

Adele Johns from Community Compass led the discussion and offered the group professional training materials to understand roles and responibilites for Volunteer Treasurers. She also provide the tools to support the men in these roles to do their job more effectively and efficiently
The group not only enjoyed the lamingtons for morning tea, they were engrossed in discussion on the important points of their roles and leaning new skills. They even voted to keep going to 1pm to complete more of the learning at this inaugural workshop.

This enthusiastic group ended with a resolution to gather again in early December for another exchange of information and supported disucssion.

Just a couple of reminders about our Christmas function on December 7 at Alison Historic Homestead.

Kim needs to know the numbers for catering purposes by the end of this month, I'm sure this is already under control but there are alartyways people that won't give you an answer until the last minute.

Also

By now your toy factory should be really in full swing and if yours is like some of the Sheds I have heard about some of the products* are really looking good.

Thanks for the efforts your Shed is putting in.

Regards

John Sharples
