Central Coast Disability Network hosted the Disability Expo at Mingara Recreation Club. This is an event for the International Day of People with Disability.
The Mobile Men’s Shed arrived early and set up outside with the new canopy and outdoor furniture to protect the hardworking committee members meeting and greeting service providers, people with disabilities, carers and politicians.
Despite the hot conditions outside there was considerable interest in the programme and in access to Men’s Sheds across the Central Coast.
Encouraging discussions were had regarding potential programme funding and a number of service providers were inspired to raise the possibility of forming partnerships to secure assets and funding with both the Cluster and the Mens Interagency. Of course all these opportunities will be persued with the usual vigour....A great networking day.
