Shed Roundup July 2012

San Remo Men's Shed

• Has and influx of inquiries from Centrelink referrals that raised questions about procedures, requirements and expectations
• Shed has Toys for offer to appropriate charities. 
• Timber ...3000 lineal feet of English Pine ...pest treated ...fumigated.. put your order in quick as it is going fast.

The Entrance Men's Shed 

• Manno Men’s Shed dropped in by the busload for a visit and snag sandwich on 22 June 2012
• San Remo shedders have also come to visit
• Invitations to the sheds one by one to build social contacts working well.
• AGM will be held on 20 June
• Bylaws have been put in place so that executive members hold positions for  2 years only. Two of the current committee are  staying on committee to ensure succession of knowledge and procedure.  This encourages new blood and encourages members to take on new responsibilities.
• Tubby cubby delivered

Gosford Men's Shed

• Members are back in the shed as of last Monday
• Driveway access remains restricted

 Manno Men's Shed

• Manno Men’s Shed are still exploring options for shed premises, including Crown Land and commercial properties in the local area.
• The AGM was held on 20 June 2012 at the Uniting Church Hall.
• BBQ trailer has been renovated and is now ready for operation but awaiting signage for Manno Men’s Shed. The Manno Shedders advised that the mobile BBQ is available for loan to other sheds for community functions.  

Alison Homestead Men's Shed

• Form work on concrete has been put on place for concrete pad under the new shed.
• Darren Webber is providing a cheque but currently awaiting a date for handover.
• AGM ... New committee at Alison Homestead.
• The Shed has all now ….. Logo ...badges ..shirts

Copacabana Men's Shed

• The old Fire-station site was given a review by council engineers.
• Councillors are supportive of the project.

Peninsula Men's Shed

• Peninsula Men’s Shed official opening at 10 am on  Wednesday 18 June 2012, please advises if attending.
• Insurance enquiries for the Shed to ensure cover.

Umina Beach Men's Shed

• The Umina Men’s Shed now has 56 members
• The Shed now has a new email address  … uminabeachmensshed@gmail.com
• and a new phone number 4342 9606

Terrigal

• Terrigal Mens Shed received excellent publicity for repair and renovation of a tricycle or a child with Aspergers tricycle.
• This also led to publiciy in the Express Advocate for the Garage Sale at the shed.
• So shedders beware of young women collecting items and not paying for them.
• The publicity generated some new memberships.
• The shed has a member who has offered a safety review for the shed who now has some safety upgrades to meet requirements. Some of the changes included: Safety area markings around all machines; Tools and storage between neck and knee height...nothing higher that requires stretching or reaching.
• The Shed is seeking  some tooling for  a Tecna tool nova lathe ...face plates please.

Bateau Bay

• Bateau Bay are holding their (delayed) 3rd birthday on Thursday 5 July 2012  
• The Community Garden out back of shed has Months delay for excavator due to the ongoing rain.
• John Sharples will be Teaching 20 kids 5-12 with new projects.

Wyong

·         Started to pour concrete this week.

·         Don’t forget the Trivia Night fundraiser .. MScci to have a table
