TOFS on The Great North Walk

Thursday1st August – Great North walk (part)   (Trip 119)

TOFS begin the first part of Australia’s famous Great North Walk by ferry from Circular Quay to

Woolwich wharf, then (cheat a bit) by a bus up to Hunters Hill, then a short walk to Boronia

Park where we drop down to the Lane Cove River.  The walk meanders through Buffalo

Reserve & wanders to & fro never far from the banks of the river, sometimes leading us high

above it & then dropping down to the waterside.  There will be plenty of rest stops & we should

take about 2 hours to reach the end – North Ryde RSL  for lunch.

Difficulty – some rough patches – a reasonable level of fitness will make it well worthwhile.
