Shed roundup March 2012

Manno Men's Shed
  • 25 march Mannering Park Festival
  • The Shedders will run a fundraiser Chocolate wheel at festival
  • Constructed by Manno Men's Shed
  • Maxine Kenyon and Julie Vaughan reviewed sites in Mannering Park
  • Shirts & caps with logos are now being worn my most members to promote the shed
  • Flyers have been prepared to promote the shed at local events
  • CCIG might be used for pomotional material. These close grants close in May
2322 Men's Shed
  • Seniors week event at the shed  21march 2012
  • Seniour will be gluing small projects together
  • small grant of $550 for expenses
Gosford Men's Shed
  • Closed Shed is closed at present 
  • Construction work on-site to reconstruct the driveway
  • No landline at present and no post box.
  • 50 pushbikes have been delivered to Gosford City Council
  • Offer from Umina for Gosford to use their facility in interim if required. 
  • Senior Week Table at Imperial Arcade to promote shed.
San Remo Community Men's Shed
  • Chef on monday -seafood secrets
  • Seniors week event
  • New job profiles have been prepared and provided for the committee
  • New members- are being assigned responsibilities
  • Secretary absent for 3 or 4 weeks -replacement is in training
Bateau Bay Men's Shed
  • Council improvement grant covering shed environ & fences $1,700 acquitted
  • Seniors week . . wil see three Bar-b-ques at the shed
  • New dust extractors have been installed
  • Shelving has been constructed under the awning 
  • Community garden delays have been highlighted for action at council 
  • Visit by mayor Bob Grahamfor Seniors Week
Umina Men's Shed
  • Offer to Copacobana Shed to have a day at the Umina Shed
  • Awning has been constructed at the shed.
  • BBQ has been purchased and having lots of use. 
  • Community garden is the next projecct now the shed is taking shape.
  • Hospital art are providing some project work for the men.
  • Vege boxes are being built . . . the story was in the Express Advocate
  • Metal aviary was constructed.
  • Seniors week open day at the shed
  • Official Opening Monday  2 April at 10 am
  • Then Wednesday & Thursday opening days will commence,
The Entrance Men's Shed
  • Extension opening was attended by Chris Spence and Bob Graham
  • The Shed has some tools including a Linisher, band saw, all tested amd tagged for a worthy shed.
  • Shedders are providing a Bar-b-que for Wyong Shire Council "induction to shire" bus
  • 23 rd seniors week . . Get together for The Entrance Community Centre services and clients including a Bar-b-que.
Kincumber Men's Shed
  • Shirts are now available for Kincumber Mens Shedders
  • Flyers now being printed
  • Wishing wells for Liverpool hospital .. Quite a few already finished and taken away.
  • Kincumber hotel running a "green fete" Saturday 17 march . . St Patricks Day
Terrigal Men's Shed
  • 40 members total: daily 15  . . .25 . . . 30 . . Swells just for morning tea
  • New shipping container has now been installed  
  • Restricted machine usage inside shed. Small space with too much dust
  • Terrigal has a mower repairs man now.
  • First canoe being built at the shed.
  • Adriondac chairs
Peninsula Men's Shed
  • Shed operating well.
  • Equipment now installed in the new shed 

Wyong Men's Shed
  • DA has been approved
Swansea Men's Shed
  • Discussions between Lands and Lake Macquarie have resolved that the shed can be built on the site of the old Visitors Information Centre. Great news for the shedders.
Alison Homestead Men's Shed
  • Roman on nomad leave.
